Reviews:
Once you read the first paragraph of her memoir, it draws you in like nothing you have felt before. Alberta Sequeira takes you on a personal and highly emotional account of her fourteen-year marriage to a man who struggled with alcoholism. Living in a time when personal problems remained at home, locked up behind closed doors, Sequeira labored daily to keep her family together. Her poignant and heart-wrenching tale comes to life off of the pages. You feel all of Sequeira’s highs and lows with her husband as she intimately takes you on this merry-go-round ride that you won't soon forget. This memoir shows us the amount of strength that each one of us possesses. - Maureen Gaynor, Author, soon-to-be published, Always A Place
Alberta Sequeira’s Someone Stop this Merry-Go-Round: An Alcoholic Family in Crisis delves into the heartache caused by alcoholism. Sequeira’s story is a painful journey filled with honesty, hurt, confusion and a measure of hope. Mrs. Sequeira reveals the sadness and despair alcoholism places on those who love an alcoholic and the consequences that follow. Someone Stop this Merry-Go-Round: An Alcoholic Family in Crisis is a must read for those individuals or families facing or know someone who is battling this addiction.

A Healing Heart Alberta H. Sequeira
A Spiritual Renewal-Heart Wrenching-Compassionate!
How many of us have waited too long to learn what our
loved ones were all about before their passing? Did opportunities slip
by to tell them they were loved? Or did you close the doors to
forgiveness because of pride?
The author opens her heart to the world in A Healing Heart. It's
a
very powerful and emotional memoir about their family life. There were
good times, hard times, happy and sad times. The death of a
loved one will either pull a family apart or bring them closer. Read
about their hardships and struggles. They were just an ordinary family
coming to term with life and death.
The
author flies to Medjugorje, in Bosnia, seeking comfort in the remote
village and sharing in the apparitions of the Virgin Mary. She
discovers the true power of unconditional love and faith in God. There
is so much in this book readers of all faith will identify with and
find essential to their own lives.

WELCOME TO MY WEBSITE!
Thanks for stopping by. I appreciate all the support.
I'm growing in my world of writing. A Healing Heart; A Spiritual Renewal was published in 2006 by PublishAmerica. February 7, 2009, I did a speaking engagement about my spiritual changes written from my book for the Magnificat, which is a Catholic Woman's Ministry. I spoke for an hour and fifteen minutes to 150 women and Fr. Randall at the Providence Marriott Hotel, Providence, Rhode Island.
I've been asked to speak at their Boston Chapter on December 12, 2009, at the Marian Community in Medway, MA.
A Healing Heart received the Reviewers Choice Award 2008 Semi-Finalist for memoirs. It was presented by Reader Views of Austin, Texas.
April 13, 2009, I was on cloud-nine getting my next memoir, Someone Stop This Merry-Go-Round; An Alcoholic Family in Crisis out to Infinity Publishing. Hopefully, it will be published sometime in July of 2009.
It's about my life living with and losing my husband, Richard Lopes of North Dighton, MA, in 1985 at 45 years of age from this demon.
I'm completing the sequel to this book, Please, God, Not Two; This Killer Called Alcoholism. It's a continuation of our lives following our daughter, Lori Cahill, taking the same path as her father. At the young age of 39, and being admitted three times to a rehabilitation center, she died from the same killer.
I'm also an instructor for Beginning Writer's Workshops, titled "Bring Your Manuscript to Publication." There no greater joy than to help a writer open the doors to learn how to get their manuscript published.
I'm available to present a private or public speaking engagement on my "Spiritual Renewal" from my memoir A Healing Heart or my life living fourteen years in an alcoholic family at any organization, business, rehabilitation centers, Al-Anon, schools or any event.
